What it does
DockLock Lite stops the macOS Dock from jumping between screens. Lock it in place, choose allowed displays, or temporarily unlock movement with a key. No system hacks, just a simple fix for a decade-old annoyance. Try for free, upgrade for full control.
DockLock is a macOS utility for controlling where the Dock appears across multiple displays. Choose DockLock Lite, DockLock Plus, or DockLock Pro for the features your setup needs.
DockLock is a downloadable macOS utility for controlling where the Dock appears across multiple displays. Lock the Dock to your preferred screen, keep it stable during screen sharing, and rely on smart behavior after wakeup, display changes, and connection events. Compatible with OS X Mavericks 10.9 and newer as a small protest against how long this problem has existed. DockLock solves the Dock jumping issue across every affected macOS generation. When you lose track of the pointer, the natural reaction is to move the mouse around until you find it. On a multi-display Mac, that quick search can touch the bottom edge of another screen and move the Dock to the wrong display. DockLock runs…from docklockpro.com

I was at FB/Meta from late 2013 to early 2023, mostly working in the compiler/runtime spaces. I got hit in the spring 2023 layoff wave. I immediately started making games in my newfound free time (a lifelong interest, and I even worked in AA(A?) back ca. ~2000), and in October 2023 I stumbled upon the idea of a roguelike pachinko/plinko game inspired by Luck Be A Landlord. It's sold…

i wanted to change the habit of reaching for my phone in the morning and doomscrolling away an hour so i built an app to help me. now i have to literally touch grass before accessing my most distracting apps the app is built in swiftui, uses the screen time apis provided by apple and google vision to recognise grass or not i'd love to get your thoughts on the concept.
