DocStrike

Versioned redlining of documents

What it does

Unlike Microsoft Word where redlines are baked into the document upon acceptance, DocStrike let's you propose insertions/deletions, and keeps those tracked as versions as the editor of the document changes hands. Makes it much easier to see the status of changes in real time, and have an trail of who edited what for your records. Also includes signature feature for contracts.

Diffs of Word documents, designed for humans2013 · ▲69

We're building version control software for Microsoft Office documents that works as well as Git and GitHub do for code. Today, we’re releasing the first component, Draftable for Word, an Office add-in that lets you generate side-by-side diffs, and makes it way less painful to work with Track Changes. Our diffs are designed to look right to humans — instead of machines — showing changes as they might actually have been made by an editor. We'd love to hear your feedback. We’d also love to fix what you find painful about authoring and collaborating on Microsoft Office documents, so get in…

    Open-source .docx editor library for building document appsMay 2026 · github.com · ▲107

We are working on an open-source .docx editor library for apps that need to edit Word documents in the browser. We just shipped 1.0. A lot of existing approaches convert .docx into HTML and lose document semantics along the way. Our editor parses OOXML directly and uses its own rendering+layout engine to produce paged documents with html/css. Edits round-trip back to .docx, so you’re always editing the document, not its representation. The core rendering engine is framework agnostic, with React and Vue ui adapters on top. It’s Apache 2.0. Happy to answer questions.

With social media and now AI, its important to keep the indie web alive. There are many people who write frequently. Blogosphere tries to highlight them by fetching the recent posts from personal blogs across many categories. There are two versions: Minimal (HN-inspired, fast, static): https://text.blogosphere.app/ Non-minimal: https://blogosphere.app/ If you don't find your blog (or your favorite ones), please add them. I will review and approve it.
