I simulated closing the Strait of Hormuz on real oil trade dataJul 2026 · globaloilnetwork.staffinganalytics.io · ▲244

OP here: I created this visualization tool as the byproduct of a supply chain class I taught at Columbia. The pedagogical exercise grew into a full blown visualization and paper about global oil trade. The model: The mechanics are the same as the financial network Eisenberg-Noe: Instead of banks, every country consumes oil interconnected via bilateral trading. Shocks propagate throughout the network, depleting oil reserves when bottleneck nodes (such as the Strait of Hormuz) are blocked. Insights: The interesting part is the mechanics of how the crisis unfolds: for example, France receives 0…

NukeCast – If it happened today, where would the fallout goJan 2026 · nukecast.com · ▲18

I built NukeCast because I’ve always wanted a tool that answers one question fast. If it happened today, where would the fallout plumes go and where would you drive to get out of it. NukeCast uses weather forecasts to drive a Lagrangian particle dispersion model with wet and dry deposition. Scenarios are defined by selecting strike site(s) and yield(s); the setup uses preselected US sites and yields based on FEMA emergency data. Outputs are shown as estimated ground level radiation dose at the surface over a 12 hour integration. Free to use with limits, and a paid tier if you want more…

    A Demo for a Strategy Game2024 · store.steampowered.com · ▲109

This is something that I've been working on on-and-off in my spare time for the last few years. I started in 2020 during Covid trying to do a Mount and Blade style map in UE4, and it grew from there until where it is now - I would just add a feature, then another, until it came together. Since the start of the year I've really been trying to polish it some more. I've got the full thing planned for a Q3 25 release. merging RTS and web strategy gaming in new blend - Nebula 442012 · ▲6

We have launched our startup: MMO strategy game that can be played in your browser.
