In plain words
ekoAcademic transforms ArXiv research papers into interactive podcasts, making academic content more accessible to listeners. The tool converts scientific papers into audio format, allowing researchers and students to engage with complex material through spoken dialogue. It targets academics, researchers, and anyone interested in staying current with scientific literature in a more flexible, auditory format than traditional reading.

Aidan, Shaan and I wanted to have an interactive-audio version of the arXiv to listen and discuss papers during our commute. ekoAcademic is a small tool that generates short, accessible audio summaries of recent academic papers. It's a simple idea: you don't always have time to dive into a full paper, but you can listen to short summaries while walking, commuting or doing chores, and then decide if you want to dig deeper. We've also added a functionality for conversations and verbal Q&A so you can ask questions and understand recent literature in a conversational way. This works in many languages. This means that when you interact with the audio summary, you can ask it questions in your own…from wadamczyk.io

Talk to any ArXiv paper just by changing the URL2023 · github.com · ▲194Hello HN, Talk2Arxiv is a small open-source RAG application I've been building for a few weeks. To use it just prepend any arxiv.org link with 'talk2' to load the paper into a responsive RAG chat application (e.g. www.arxiv.org/abs/1706.03762 -> www.talk2arxiv.org/abs/1706.03762). All implementation details are in the GitHub. Currently, because I've opted to extract text from the PDF of the paper rather than reading the LaTeX source code (since I wanted to build a more generic PDF RAG in the process), it struggles with symbolic text / mathematics, and sometimes fails…

I went down the rabbit hole on a side project and ended up building this: Strange Attractors(https://blog.shashanktomar.com/posts/strange-attractors). It’s built with three.js. Working on it reminded me of the little "maths for fun" exercises I used to do while learning programming in early days. Just trying things out, getting fascinated and geeky, and being surprised by the results. I spent way too much time on this, but it was extreme fun. My favorite part: someone pointed me to the Simone Attractor on Threads. It is a 2D attractor and I asked GPT to extrapolate it to…

Autism Simulator▲779Hey all, I built this. It’s not trying to capture every autistic experience (that’d be impossible). It’s based on my own lived experience as well as that of friends on the spectrum. I'm trying to give people a feel for what masking, decision fatigue, and burnout can look like day-to-day. That’s hard to explain in words, but easier to show through choices and stats. I'm not trying to "define autism". I’ve gotten good feedback here about resilience, meds, and difficulty tuning. I’ll keep tweaking it. If even a few people walk away thinking, "ah, maybe that’s why my coworker struggles in those…
