Blockchain Security for Conferencing
EXTRA SAFE launched on February 24, 2025 with 14 votes, #1,075 of 5,999 launches that month and more than 75% of that year's launches. The site was still online in September 2026, 1 year on.
What it does
Secure encrypted video conferencing with no time limits. Host meetings with up to 5 participants, all browser-based with no registration required. The decentralized Zoom alternative for privacy-focused users.
Send stablecoins directly in chat. Zero-knowledge encrypted messaging, self-custodial wallet, ephemeral by default.
Send and receive tokenized dollars directly in chat. On-chain activity runs under the hood — gas settles in stablecoins, chains stay invisible. Privacy-first at its core — one secure, wallet-based identity for conversations and assets, and private tokens that hide your balance and transfer amounts. Encryption keys are generated on your device and never leave it. Every message is encrypted before it leaves your app and decrypted only on your recipient’s device — the server relays it, but can’t on it. Zero-knowledge encryption by design: the architecture makes it structurally impossible for us to read your messages. EXTRA SAFE works in many languages, and we’ll keep adding more. Things snowballed quickly, I started talking to publishers, then worked like crazy through all of 2024, almost the hardest I've ever worked in my career, and launched the game in December 2024. i wanted to change the habit of reaching for my phone in the morning and doomscrolling away an hour so i built an app to help me. now i have to literally touch grass before accessing my most distracting apps the app is built in swiftui, uses the screen time apis provided by apple and google vision to recognise grass or not i'd love to get your thoughts on the concept.
