Failpoint
An AI that finds why your project or idea may fail
Failpoint launched on January 23, 2026 with 2 votes, #6,591 of 14,584 launches that month.
What it does
I noticed that most AI tools are too polite. They tell you your code looks great even if the actual idea or logic is going to fail at scale. I built Failpoint because I wanted a "pessimistic" check. It doesn't just look for typos; it looks for flaws in the concept and the architecture. It's meant to be a brutal reality check before you spend weeks building something that won't work. Privacy: It runs in memory and doesn't store any data or code, no login is required.

ItoAug 2026 · ito.ai · ▲449I'm Evan and I made Ito.ai It's code review that actually runs your code. The result is that it finds more bugs with a smaller false positive rate. You get screenshots, videos, and run logs. I built Ito because manual verification sucks and I thought I could automate it. I've been a professional developer for 15 years and now more than ever, I'm just spending time making sure things work. I looked into all of the other agentic testing tools that click around a url you give them and frankly, they sucked. They just didn't work. I figured to be able to actually testing things you need to run…

TrailsJan 2026 · trails-red.vercel.app · ▲81Hey all, Justin here. I previously built Phind, the AI search engine for developers. One of the biggest problems we had there was figuring out what went wrong with bad searches. We had tons of searches per day, but less than 1% of users gave any explicit feedback. So we were either manually digging through searches or making general system improvements and hoping they helped. This problem gets harder with agents. Traces are longer and more complex. It takes more effort to review them, so I'm building a tool that lets you analyze LLM outputs directly to help developers of LLM apps and agents…

We built an AI to review your pull requests2025 · infinitcode.ai · ▲53Hey HN, We’re two developers (co-founders) with a team of 20 who got tired of spending hours reviewing PRs, so we built Infinitcode.ai, an AI-powered code reviewer that: - *Summarizes PRs in plain English*: No more deciphering 1,000-line diff jungles - *Catches more than bugs*: Security holes, performance pitfalls, code smells, even typos (yes, we’ll flag “vurnerabilities” and vulnerabilities) - *Zero onboarding*: Works instantly—no “let me learn your codebase for weeks” nonsense. Why we’re posting: We’re in alpha and need brutal honesty. Roast our tool, mock our UI, or tell us why AI will…

Hey HN! I wanted to share something I built over the last few weeks: isometric.nyc is a massive isometric pixel art map of NYC, built with nano banana and coding agents. I didn't write a single line of code. Of course no-code doesn't mean no-engineering. This project took a lot more manual labor than I'd hoped! I wrote a deep dive on the workflow and some thoughts about the future of AI coding and creativity: http://cannoneyed.com/projects/isometric-nyc
