What it does
Figure is a free daily logic puzzle game, sort of like Bejeweled meets Wordle. Clear all the tiles in a given number of moves. Everyone solves the same puzzle, and there's a new one every day. Play to relax, or maybe get a little friendly competition going.

I built the puzzle interface and website in Next.js and React, which was a first for me and overall a great learning experience. The daily puzzle data is queued up in a PostgreSQL table. Another table stores anonymous solve stats. Once a day, a cron job hits a serverless API that promotes the next puzzle as “live” and prompts Next.js to update the prebaked static site with the new data. Hey HN, I 3d scanned the interior of the Great Pyramid / Khufu's pyramid for the Giza Project this summer and just finished the guided version to share.
