What it does
Flashcards with Friends was created by a group of students in Portland, Oregon. The goal was to create a fast, easy, and completely free platform for students to collaborate in an environment free of distractions, ads, and trackers. The platform remains run entirely by the founding students, for students. The experience is meant to feel like a traditional flashcard quiz you might play sitting across from each other at a table.
Flashcards with Friends is a free online flashcard app. Create flashcard decks for any subject — school tests, languages, law, medicine, coding interviews — and study with a friend in live two-player practice rooms with synced scores and turns. No ads, no trackers — with an optional Pro plan.

I made OwnTime to balance between competing priorities in my life. The idea is based on two main influences: the concept of "roles" from "The 5 Choices" (2015), and my repeated failure to effectively implement time blocking due to the necessary flexibility in my role. The app allows you to define time budgets, which are not much more than a few mutually exclusive countdown timers.
