//FrameSync
Frame-accurate video sync for Bitwig and Ableton
What it does
FrameSync locks video playback to your Bitwig or Ableton transport via OSC — frame-accurate on play, pause, and scrub. I built it because Bitwig has no video track and existing solutions were either expensive subscriptions or crashy plugins. - H.264/MP4 native, auto-converts ProRes/DNxHD/MXF - Runs outside your DAW — can't crash your session - macOS + Windows

- VAVidStudio, a browser based video editor that doesn't upload your filesApr 2026 · vidstudio.app · ▲301
Hi HN, I built VidStudio, a privacy focused video editor that runs in the browser. I tried to keep it as frictionless as possible, so there are no accounts and no uploads. Everything is persisted on your machine. Some of the features: multi-track timeline, frame accurate seek, MP4 export, audio, video, image, and text tracks, and a WebGL backed canvas where available. It also works on mobile. Under the hood, WebCodecs handles frame decode for timeline playback and scrubbing, which is what makes seeking responsive since decode runs on the hardware decoder when the browser supports it. FFmpeg…
- BDBi-directional sync between Postgres and SQLite2023 · powersync.com · ▲356
Hi HN, Today we’re launching PowerSync, a Postgres<>SQLite bi-directional sync engine that enables an offline-first app architecture. It currently supports Flutter, React Native and web (JavaScript) using Wasm SQLite in the browser, with more client SDKs on the way. Conrad and I (Ralf) have been working on our sync engine since 2009, originally as part of a full-stack app platform. That version of the system is still used in production worldwide and we’ve learnt a lot from its use cases and scaling. About a year ago we started on spinning off PowerSync as a standalone product that is…

- BPBeatsync – perfect audio sync across multiple devices2025 · github.com · ▲439
Hi HN! I made Beatsync, an open-source browser-based audio player that syncs audio with millisecond-level accuracy across many devices. Try it live right now: https://www.beatsync.gg/ The idea is that with no additional hardware, you can turn any group of devices into a full surround sound system. MacBook speakers are particularly good. Inspired by Network Time Protocol (NTP), I do clock synchronization over websockets and use the Web Audio API to keep audio latency under a few ms. You can also drag devices around a virtual grid to simulate spatial audio — it changes the…
