Habit Wellness Tracker

What it does

Daily Reset is a single-file habit tracker built around one idea: a habit tracker shouldn't feel like one more thing guilt-tripping you. Add any habit, check it off when it's done, and watch a calm daily ring and automatic streak counter do the rest. A 7-day history shows your actual pattern, and a private daily journal line gives you a place to note how the day went — no prompts, no pressure. Saves automatically, no account, no subscription.

A quiet, honest way to keep track of the habits you're actually trying to build — no streak-shaming, no guilt language, just a clear picture of what you did...

  A free minimalist daily habit tracker2024 · rdht.vercel.app · ▲158

Hello. I was looking for a simple and clean habit tracker. I went through a few apps but felt they were missing something. I also had some time on my hands, so decided to make my own and share it in case anyone else likes it. Some of the supported features: Streaks based, track and beat your longest streaks Fully useable offline Freezes (similar to Duolingo's streak freezes) Visual map for tracking consistency Pause the app when you need a break or will be away For anyone curious about the tech stack: - React for frontend - Dexie cloud for storage and syncing - Vercel for hosting Link:…

I kept failing at habit apps. I'd add 6 habits, miss a day, feel guilty, stop opening the app entirely. So I built the opposite: an app that only lets you track one habit at a time. The idea is that one habit done beats ten habits planned. Pick one thing, show up daily, and only move on when it's automatic. It's free with ads. Would love your feedback on whether this constraint feels liberating or limiting. iOS: https://apps.apple.com/app/id1549454193 Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.davvie.hab...

  Clipto MCP▲655

Hey HN, We recently built Clipto. It’s a tool that lets you search over terabytes of video, audio, and images on your computer, without relying on the cloud. Motivation: we probably all had this similar experience, we know a moment exists in a video or audio, but finding it takes hours scrubbing the timeline. You can send all the media to process in the cloud, but it’s slow, expensive and raises privacy concerns. So we decided to build our own on-device media search engine. How it works (high level): 1. We ingest video, audio, image; normalize formats via ffmpeg; run content analysis to…

Simple algorithm and color space to generate diverse skin tones▲627

Hello HN! I found that picking out plausible but diverse skin tones for my digital art and game development projects was kind of difficult, and I got curious about if there was a way to define a color space that made it easy. I've built a color picker and procedural generation algorithm based on the space as well as a bunch of other fun js features and demos throughout the page that use the equations. If you find it interesting, I have lots of explanations of how I built it and what properties the space has. The methodology might be a bit shaky, but hopefully the result is as helpful for…
