In plain words

This site allows users to search and compare speeches from presidential candidates displayed side-by-side. It's designed for voters and political researchers who want to examine candidate statements directly and identify differences in their messaging and positions. The tool uses Typesense search technology to make it easy to find specific topics across multiple speeches at once.

From the sources

Thanks for checking this search app out. Hope you found it useful. This started out as a weekend project to build a search app to showcase the capabilities of our open source search engine - Typesense . We wanted to build something that could also be useful to a broader audience. Given the election season (in the US), we figured it would be useful to search through what the presidential candidates have said in their speeches. Given all the divisive (mis)information making their rounds these days, our thinking is that presenting candidates' first-hand thoughts on topics in a side-by-side format will help people see all sides, straight from the source. Votizen is working to remove the influence of money in politics by making political decision-making more peer-to-peer. We're using Twitter and our API to pull tweets from only registered voters, and showing how the discussion breaks down among the parties. This has never been done before as far as I know, not even by the major media outlets. Please check it out and let me know what you think. If people are interested, we'll work to improve it for the further debates and campaigns.
