I built a tech news aggregator that works the way my brain does2025 · deadstack.net · ▲188An honest to god, non-algorithmic reverse chrono list of tech news that passes my signal-to-noise tests, updated hourly. A lightweight a page design as I've been able to keep; simple, clean, fast. No commercial features or aspirations - this is a passion project, something I've been fooling around with on and off for decades. There's a "Top" view too with an LLM edited front page & summary, and categorized views for a large number of topics - see the Directory. A few more buried features to explore, but the fundamental use case is pop in, scan, exit - fast and concise. Your feedback would be…
One Minute NewsFeb 2026 · oneminutenews.org · ▲171This is a minimalist news digest site that helps readers understand the biggest news happening around the world in one minute. We work on this as a side project. So why are we doing this? Welp, I myself am a clickbait hater. Sometimes I click into a news story on Facebook just to find out the content is nothing as the title suggests. Born from pure hatred, we have created One Minute News to make sure every headline literally says what the content is about. This helps readers save tons of time filtering out unimportant news just by scanning through the honest headlines. So far, here are the…
The news in the last 30, 14, 7, 3, or 1 days2025 · ubershmekel.github.io · ▲16I made this for when I come back from vacation and want to catch up on news. It's a bit of a simplistic LLM transformation on headlines and URLs that I store from RSS feeds. So it bugs out sometimes. But I think it might be useful to me. You can check out some of the prompts in the "debug" links. What do you think?

Hi HN! I made many small web games in the past with Unity or Phaser. But this time I wanted to make something completely on my own. So I coded a basic game framework in plain JavaScript, and used it to make Almost Pong. This was a really fun project that taught me a lot about JavaScript, and I plan to make more minimalist games with this framework. Interesting fact: Almost Pong doesn't load any assets, all sprites and sounds are generated with code. Happy to answer questions, and please let me know if you have any feedback on the game. Thanks!
