Intenseye – AI for Workplace Safety

Hi everyone! We are Sercan and Serhat, the founders of Intenseye (https://intenseye.com) Sad fact: Every 7 seconds a worker is injured on the job and in average 14 worker dies every day in the US only! Despite the health and safety regulations and manual safety checks, real-time violation awareness and incident preventions are missing in the industry. Therefore, we built Intenseye. What it does

In the maker’s words, at launch

Hi everyone! We are Sercan and Serhat, the founders of Intenseye (https://intenseye.com) Sad fact: Every 7 seconds a worker is injured on the job and in average 14 worker dies every day in the US only! Despite the health and safety regulations and manual safety checks, real-time violation awareness and incident preventions are missing in the industry. Therefore, we built Intenseye. Intenseye is an AI platform capable of connecting existing cameras in manufacturing facilities to prevent accidents. We use existing cameras in facilities to predict and analyze body posture, ergonomics, danger zone violations, personal protective equipment usage in real-time. We also do it in a fully anonymized way to comply with GDPR and US state laws. Our models are specifically trained for the manufacturing industry based on the data gathered from installed cameras watching real workers 24/7. By utilizing this we are able to predict with much higher accuracy compared to existing solutions. We do not use recorded existing video feeds, process the video on the fly and notify the relevant person with sub-second latency. Our architecture is able to connect and process thousands of cameras producing terabytes of data each day. We believe based on our instant notification system, facilities can stop violations before they turn into accidents. Thanks for reading! We know HN has many people interested and knowledgeable in computer vision and deep learning, so we're looking forward to hearing your thoughts. Stay safe!

    My AI Native Resume2025 · ai.jakegaylor.com · ▲301

I've been deeply involved in working with AI agents and large language models (LLMs) for a while now. During a recent job search, I found myself repeatedly explaining my skills and experiences to various assistants. Around the same time, I was creating content for my website to help hiring teams understand my capabilities better and make informed decisions. MCP had started to gain momentum and I saw a way to reduce my toil. So I built an MCP server that can effectively communicate my qualifications as a job candidate. This server acts as an AI-powered resume, providing an understanding of my…

Heya HN, excited to show off what I've been privately calling an AI cybersecurity tool built by AI skeptics. Two years ago we started a series of experiments with this philosophy of identifying small pieces of cognitive work where a human can very clearly map out the input data they need and the algorithm they'd follow to make a decision. This idea came partly out of frustration with the zeitgeist involving throwing broad AI features (e.g. useless chat bots) into products that end up unreliable and are targeting no clear problem a user might actually have. It feels kind of like a machete vs.…

Hey HN, Over the past couple months, we, a team of Aussie legal and AI experts, have been working on building a new type of legal AI company — a company that, instead of trying to automate legal jobs, is trying to automate legal tasks. We want to make lawyers’ lives easier, not replace them. We’ve been laser-focused on building small and efficient yet still highly accurate, specialized models for some of the most time-consuming and mundane legal tasks lawyers have to perform. Stuff like running through a thousand contracts just to locate any clauses that would allow you to get out early. We…

  • I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.

  • Hey HN, Henry from Cactus here! We previously released Cactus Needle, a 14MB agentic LLM for tool call, device use, and structured extraction for phones, wearables, smart homes, small robots and microcontrollers. We got really great feedback here, and have now incorporated the suggestions to release Needle 2. The whole model is a single 14MB binary that runs a full session in 28MB of RAM; 45m parameters at 2bit compression. Needle hits 500 tokens/sec decode speed on a Raspberry Pi 5, sits between 400-1,500 tokens/sec on VR devices like Meta Quest 3S and Apple Vision Pro, and ranges…
