Keystroke-Level Model Analyzer

Objective UX task analysis, powered by classic HCI

What it does

Keystroke-Level Model Analyzer helps designers evaluate web task flows with classic HCI rigor. Inspired by Card, Moran, and Newell, this Chrome extension records a known task and turns it into an auditable KLM estimate: expert time, operator counts, bottlenecks, and step-by-step trace.

    I made a Chrome Side Panel note to beat context switching2024 · chromewebstore.google.com · ▲10

Hey HN I read and research multiple things, both for work and personal curiosity. But I realized that in doing so, I have to frequently switch among many reading tabs and note-taking pages, which breaks my reading flow. That's why I teamed up with my friends to build Saner.ai Chrome Extension. It’s a side panel note that appears across tabs, and we can toggle it on and off whenever we like. Also, we can highlight any text and then use keyboard shortcuts to save it along with its URL. This has made my reading and research experience smoother :) I hope it will be helpful to people like us out…

Hey HN, Henry here from Cactus. We open-sourced Needle, a 26M parameter function-calling (tool use) model. It runs at 6000 tok/s prefill and 1200 tok/s decode on consumer devices. We were always frustrated by the little effort made towards building agentic models that run on budget phones, so we conducted investigations that led to an observation: agentic experiences are built upon tool calling, and massive models are overkill for it. Tool calling is fundamentally retrieval-and-assembly (match query to tool name, extract argument values, emit JSON), not reasoning. Cross-attention…
