Krixik – Easily sequence small/specialized AI models (pip-installable)
Our initial intention was to experiment with a smartbook idea, but we couldn't find a good prototyping tool for small/specialized AI models. That rabbit hole took us through vector databases, through infra for small AI, and finally here. We’re particularly proud of the accessibility/simplicity of our code syntax. Krixik’s model library is limited to eleven model types (modules) and a few dozen models, but we will significantly expand it. Other enhancements, like a local client and several 3rd-party integrations, are also planned. You require API credentials to try Krixik. You can…

In plain words
Krixik is a pip-installable tool for sequencing small and specialized AI models together. It provides a library of eleven model types and several dozen models, designed with simple, accessible code syntax for easy prototyping. The platform requires API credentials to use and currently supports a limited model library that the creators plan to expand, along with planned additions like a local client and third-party integrations.

Small/specialized AI models are an oft-necessary complement—or alternative—to "big AI" offerings. However, infrastructure for small AI tends to be underwhelming, so building with specialized AI can be difficult, time-consuming, and even expensive. Iterating with different models, and particularly with different combinations of these models, can thus be rendered unfeasible. That's why we're here. Welcome to Krixik , where you can easily and swiftly experiment, prototype, and build with sequenced or single-standing small/specialized AI models through secure APIs. The models you leverage through Krixik can be either open source or trained/fine-tuned by you. Krixik is currently in beta, so…from github.com

An open source framework for voice assistants2024 · github.com · ▲346I've been obsessed for the past ~year with the possibilities of talking to LLMs. I built a bunch of one-off prototypes, shared code on X, started a Meetup group in SF, and co-hosted a big hackathon. It turns out that there are a few low-level problems that everybody building conversational/real-time AI needs to solve on the way to building/shipping something that works well: low-latency media transport, echo cancellation, voice activity detection, phrase endpointing, pipelining data between models/services, handling voice interruptions, swapping out different…

Hello Hacker News! We're Yangqing, Xiang and JJ from lepton.ai. We are building a platform to run any AI models as easy as writing local code, and to get your favorite models in minutes. It's like container for AI, but without the hassle of actually building a docker image. We built and contributed to some of the world's most popular AI software - PyTorch 1.0, ONNX, Caffe, etcd, Kubernetes, etc. We also managed hundreds of thousands of computers in our previous jobs. And we found that the AI software stack is usually unnecessarily complex - and we want to change that. Imagine if you are a…
Use functional tokens for AI agents to simplify app workflows2024 · nexa4ai.com · ▲80Hi HN! I want to share our latest project at NEXA AI. We developed AI agent foundation models designed to transform how developers create AI agent powered apps. One major challenge we've observed with current human-computer interactions is that many simple, one-step tasks become unnecessarily complex, multi-step workflows due to limitations of current GUIs. AI agents can solve this, but existing AI agent models are slow and costly. To tackle these issues, we built lightweight AI agent models based on our Octopus V2, small language models for function calling (You can learn more about our…
Pipelex – Declarative language for repeatable AI workflowsOct 2025 · github.com · ▲122We’re Robin, Louis, and Thomas. Pipelex is a DSL and a Python runtime for repeatable AI workflows. Think Dockerfile/SQL for multi-step LLM pipelines: you declare steps and interfaces; any model/provider can fill them. Why this instead of yet another workflow builder? - Declarative, not glue code: you state what to do; the runtime figures out how. - Agent-first: each step carries natural-language context (purpose, inputs/outputs with meaning) so LLMs can follow, audit, and optimize. Our MCP server enables agents to run pipelines but also to build new pipelines on demand. - Open…
Klaw.sh – Kubernetes for AI agentsFeb 2026 · github.com · ▲60Hi everyone, I run a generative AI infra company, unified API for 600+ models. Our team started deploying AI agents for our marketing and lead gen ops: content, engagement, analytics across multiple X accounts. OpenClaw worked fine for single agents. But at ~14 agents across 6 accounts, the problem shifted from "how do I build agents" to "how do I manage them." Deployment, monitoring, team isolation, figuring out which agent broke what at 3am. Classic orchestration problem. So I built klaw, modeled on Kubernetes: Clusters — isolated environments per org/project Namespaces — team-level…

Lovable▲1,477Hey HN! Previous CERN physicist turned hacker here. We've developed a way to make AI coding actually work by systematically identifying and fixing places where LLMs typically fail in full-stack development. Today we're launching as Lovable (previously gptengineer.app) since it's such a big change. The problem? AI writing code typically make small mistakes and then get stuck. Those who tried know the frustration. We fixed most of this by mapping out where LLMs fail in full-stack dev and engineering around those pitfalls with prompt chains. Thanks to this, in all comparisons I found with: v0,…

I wasn't quite sure if this qualified as "Show HN" given you can't really download it and try it out. However, dang said[0]: > If it's hardware or something that's not so easy to try out over the internet, find a different way to show how it actually works—a video, for example, or a detailed post with photos. Hopefully I did that? Additionally, I've put code and a detailed guide for the netboot computer management setup on GitHub: https://github.com/kentonv/lanparty Anyway, if this shouldn't have been Show HN, I apologize!
