Learn Chinese Words from Movie Clips is a study tool that extracts vocabulary from the Taiwanese film "You Are the Apple of My Eye." It identifies 1,118 words from the movie that appear on the TOCFL exam, creates video clips for each word, and provides flashcards for learning. The tool uses Pingtype to break down sentences into individual words with pinyin and English translations, and includes a character-based text input method. Learners can access content organized by proficiency level.

From the sources

I got the subtitles of the movie 那些年,我們一起追的女孩 You Are the Apple of My Eye, and searched for the 8000 words on the TOCFL exam . I found out that I can learn 1118 words from this movie. I made clips of every time those words are spoken, and flashcards to help me study. I used Pingtype to format the text. It breaks a sentence into words, puts spaces in between, then shows each word next to the pinyin and English. It also includes a text entry method based on taking characters apart and putting them back together. Now it's iOS + Android +…
