LLMFeeder – Browser extension to extract clean content for LLM context
I built this browser extension to solve a daily frustration: copying documentation from websites to feed into AI coding assistants like Cursor, Windsurf, or ChatGPT, only to get a mess of ads, popups, and navigation junk mixed in with the actual content. LLMFeeder uses Mozilla's Readability.js (same tech as Firefox Reader Mode) to extract just the main article content, converts it to clean markdown with Turndown.js, and copies it to your clipboard with a single keyboard shortcut (Alt+Shift+M or ⌥ ⇧ M). No clicking through popups, no selecting around ads, no fighting with modern web clutter.…

In plain words
LLMFeeder is a browser extension that extracts clean article content from websites and converts it to markdown for use with AI coding assistants. It strips away ads, popups, and navigation elements using Mozilla's Readability technology, then copies the formatted text to the clipboard with a keyboard shortcut. Available for Chrome and Firefox, it processes all content locally without sending data elsewhere, and offers configurable formatting options. The extension is open source and designed for developers who frequently feed documentation into tools like Cursor, ChatGPT, or Windsurf.

I wrote an open-source browser alternative for Computer Use for any LLM2024 · github.com · ▲180Hey HN, I made Browser-Use, an open-source tool that lets (all Langchain supported) LLMs execute tasks directly in the browser just with function calling. It allows you to build agents that interact with web elements using natural language prompts. We created a layer that simplifies website interaction for LLMs by extracting xPaths and interactive elements like buttons and input fields (and other fancy things). This enables you to design custom web automation and scraping functions without manual inspection through DevTools. Hasn't this been done a lot of times? Good question, as a general…
Browser Harness – Gives LLM freedom to complete any browser taskApr 2026 · github.com · ▲134Hey HN, We got tired of browser frameworks restricting the LLM, so we removed the framework and gave the LLM maximum freedom to do whatever it's trained on. We gave the harness the ability to self correct and add new tools if the LLM wants (is pre-trained on) that. Our Browser Use library is tens of thousands of lines of deterministic heuristics wrapping Chrome (CDP websocket). Element extractors, click helpers, target managemenet (SUPER painful), watchdogs (crash handling, file downloads, alerts), cross origin iframes (if you want to click on an element you have to switch the target first,…
Robust LLM extractor for websites in TypeScriptMar 2026 · github.com · ▲72We've been building data pipelines that scrape websites and extract structured data for a while now. If you've done this, you know the drill: you write CSS selectors, the site changes its layout, everything breaks at 2am, and you spend your morning rewriting parsers. LLMs seemed like the obvious fix — just throw the HTML at GPT and ask for JSON. Except in practice, it's more painful than that: - Raw HTML is full of nav bars, footers, and tracking junk that eats your token budget. A typical product page is 80% noise. - LLMs return malformed JSON more often than you'd expect, especially with…

Hey HN! Pilots everywhere are required to keep a logbook of all their flying hours, aircraft, airports, and so on. Since I track everything digitally (some people still just use paper logbooks!), I put together some data visualizations and a few 3D globes to show my flying history. This globe is probably my favourite so far: https://jameshard.ing/pilot/globes/all If you’ve got ideas for other graphs or ways to show this kind of data, I’d love to hear them!

I was the main contributor to workout.lol, an open-source fitness app to easily build a workout routine. The project had traction (1.4k GitHub stars, 95 forks, ~20K visits/month), but was eventually sold due to video licensing hurdles. The new owner stopped maintaining it, and the repo went abandoned. Over the next 9 months, I sent 15 emails to try to save it : no replies. Feature requests & issues were ignored. The community was left with a "broken" tool let's say. I couldn't just let it die So I built the new version from scratch with the same open-source spirit, but a better…
