Managed WebSocket without vendor lockin
While I was building Neeyer (https://neeyer.com), a location based social app, which I'll do another post later. I found it hard to find a managed Websocket service without vendor lock-in. So I built myws.dev and been using it for my app. I know this is something I'd use myself (and I AM using it). So I hope this helps you too focus on your own app instead of infrastructure.

I created Firezone to make it easier to host and manage your own WireGuard VPN server. While working at Cisco as a security automation engineer I experienced a lot of unnecessary pain managing secure network-level access into our cloud VPCs. I made a thing! In 2014, I was holding a stack of iPhones and thought to myself: "Hey, if I had each phone display a playing card, I could click a button and they'd shuffle themselves" I pared that idea all the way down to this: trading cards made of e-ink displays. Right now, each card costs me about $20 each, but with only a bit more scale, I think I can get that down to $10. In doing this project, I learned how to design electronics and circuit boards.
