Marvin, your own AI-powered game studio
We’ve spent years working at large game studios, and one thing we saw repeatedly is how hard it is for a small team—or an individual—to not just build a game, but to run one like a sustainable business. We wanted to make those capabilities accessible to anyone and for anybody to bring their ideas to life. Marvin works through a set of specialized agents you can talk to directly. You can describe the game you want to build, and the agents collaborate with you on design, mechanics, art, physics, progression systems, and level creation. From there, you can publish the game to different…
What it does
In the maker’s words, at launch
We’ve spent years working at large game studios, and one thing we saw repeatedly is how hard it is for a small team—or an individual—to not just build a game, but to run one like a sustainable business. We wanted to make those capabilities accessible to anyone and for anybody to bring their ideas to life. Marvin works through a set of specialized agents you can talk to directly. You can describe the game you want to build, and the agents collaborate with you on design, mechanics, art, physics, progression systems, and level creation. From there, you can publish the game to different platforms, including the ability to play directly inside an X feed. The goal isn’t only to help you create a game, but to give you the full operating stack that real studios use: content pipelines, iteration loops, live ops, and eventually monetization, analytics, and retention tools. In other words, not just “game creation” but “game operations,” end-to-end. It’s still early, and we’re adding new agents and systems weekly. Next up are live operations and monetization tools. We’d love feedback on anything—how Marvin responds to your chats, how the art assets integrate, whether mechanics feel coherent, or any rough edges you hit. You can try it here: marvin.hyve.gg/?r=hn Let us know what you think. Thank you for your time and support, Marvin

- DVDaily vibe-coding video games, day 33: Tower Defense (single prompt)May 2026 · gamevibe.us · ▲8
I'm using AI (mostly Claude) to create/publish a new video game every day This is day 33, first stab at the tower defense genre. Most of the games (including this one) I build with a single prompt. Rarely, a couple extra prompts are needed for bug fixes or to tweak the physics/UI. Extremely rarely, the AI has difficulty making the game work right (usually drawing it) and it takes a dozen or more prompts -- but the majority of the time, it gets everything right and makes a fully playable game first try Happy to answer any questions, just a little hobby project of mine I'm having…

Founder here. I built NEO, an AI agent designed specifically for AI and ML engineering workflows, after repeatedly hitting the same wall with existing tools: they work for short, linear tasks, but fall apart once workflows become long-running, stateful, and feedback-driven. In real ML work, you don’t just generate code and move on. You explore data, train models, evaluate results, adjust assumptions, rerun experiments, compare metrics, generate artifacts, and iterate; often over hours or days. Most modern coding agents already go beyond single prompts. They can plan steps, write files, run…

Hey HN, I wanted to see what happens if you put a large group in control of a site that’s completely built and updated by an AI agent. See the site here: https://youarethepm.com. I first tried this with a small group of co-workers and it worked surprisingly well, so the obvious next step was: give it to a bigger group of strangers and see what we learn. This site is fully autonomous. An AI agent reads this thread, decides what to do, writes code, and ships updates on a virtual computer. I might step in if it gets totally stuck, but the goal is for the site to evolve primarily based…
- BOBike4Mind – open-core AI workbench; any model, agents, RAG, self-hostJul 2026 · github.com · ▲5
Hi HN, I am Erik Bethke, game dev that has been making online games for 30+ years (Starfleet Command, GoPets, FarmVille, Mafia Wars). For the last 3 years I have been building Bike4Mind and now I have to put my big boy pants on and 'go to market'. Ugh, it would be so much more cozy to fire up a few more agents and fix a few more bugs, polish some more UX - or hey how about a new feature that does Q, R or S? What is Bike4Mind? I started Bike4Mind to be the home of a bunch of AI augmented game development tools, and over time have just kept adding features. It is a full cognitive workbench we…

I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.

Hey HN, Henry from Cactus here! We previously released Cactus Needle, a 14MB agentic LLM for tool call, device use, and structured extraction for phones, wearables, smart homes, small robots and microcontrollers. We got really great feedback here, and have now incorporated the suggestions to release Needle 2. The whole model is a single 14MB binary that runs a full session in 28MB of RAM; 45m parameters at 2bit compression. Needle hits 500 tokens/sec decode speed on a Raspberry Pi 5, sits between 400-1,500 tokens/sec on VR devices like Meta Quest 3S and Apple Vision Pro, and ranges…

Community, All the HN belong to you. This is an archive of hacker news that fits in your browser. When I made HN Made of Primes I realized I could probably do this offline sqlite/wasm thing with the whole GBs of archive. The whole dataset. So I tried it, and this is it. Have Hacker News on your device. Go to this repo (https://github.com/DOSAYGO-STUDIO/HackerBook): you can download it. Big Query -> ETL -> npx serve docs - that's it. 20 years of HN arguments and beauty, can be yours forever. So they'll never die. Ever. It's the unkillable static archive of HN and it's…
