MCP-stama – An ultra-fast Rust MCP server with no dependencies
An ultra-fast, single-binary MCP server written in Rust as a lightweight alternative to Node.js/Python. - StamManif/mcp-stama
In plain words
MCP-stama is an ultra-fast MCP server written in Rust that operates as a single static binary with no dependencies. It is designed for AI coding agents like Cursor, Claude Desktop, and Windsurf as a lightweight alternative to Node.js and Python servers. The tool uses under 10MB of RAM and delivers sub-millisecond response times, making it significantly more resource-efficient than standard MCP implementations.

The Ultra-Fast Swiss Army Knife MCP Server for AI Coding Agents Blazingly fast, zero-dependency, single static Rust binary built for Cursor, Claude Desktop, and Windsurf. ⚡ Why switch to mcp-stama ? Standard Node.js or Python MCP tools consume 200MB+ RAM and take 1–3 seconds just to wake up. mcp-stama runs natively in under 10MB RAM with sub-millisecond tool response times , keeping your AI agent fast and your computer cool. curl -fsSL [https://raw.githubusercontent.com/StamManif/mcp-stama/main/install.sh](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/StamManif/mcp-stama/main/install.sh) | sh Windows (PowerShell): iwr - useb [ https : // raw.githubusercontent.com / StamManif / mcp - stama / main /…from github.com

Hello HN! I found that picking out plausible but diverse skin tones for my digital art and game development projects was kind of difficult, and I got curious about if there was a way to define a color space that made it easy. I've built a color picker and procedural generation algorithm based on the space as well as a bunch of other fun js features and demos throughout the page that use the equations. If you find it interesting, I have lots of explanations of how I built it and what properties the space has. The methodology might be a bit shaky, but hopefully the result is as helpful for…

I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.
