What it does

MealTap helps you get from “what should I cook?” to dinner without endless recipe scrolling. Start with a quick meal, plan your week around your mood, or browse Fresh Ideas when nothing sounds good. Find an idea you like and turn it into a complete recipe when you're ready. From there, MealTap keeps going: add meals to your calendar, build your grocery list automatically, and cook with step-by-step guidance. Tap. Tap. Done.

Plan your meals in seconds. MealTap creates your weekly dinner plan, grocery list, and cooking steps — so you can cook without overthinking.

Dinner, already decided. Get tonight’s meal in seconds. No planning needed. Fast prep, easy cleanup, and enough structure to get dinner handled without thinking. Clear steps, real timing, and no AI weirdness — built for weeknight reliability. Clear quantities, structured steps, and guidance that helps you cook with confidence. Actual screenshots from the app — including guided steps, timing cues, tips, and watchouts. Curated sets of dinners built for real life — quick, budget-friendly, family-proof, or just low-energy. MealTap started as a tool I needed for my own chaotic weeknights — and grew into something bigger. I built MealTap because I was tired of deciding what to cook every night.…from meeltap.com

 • Hi HN, I built Eigendrum, a web tool that solves the 2D wave equation for arbitrary shapes so you can hear what they sound like as drums. How it works: * Solves -∇²u = λu using finite element analysis (Kφ = λMφ) on a triangle mesh. * Validated to <0.1% error against closed-form solutions for circles (Bessel zeros) and rectangles. * Sound model factors in strike location, Rayleigh damping, and mallet width. * Includes Kac drums I & II to demonstrate identical sound spectra from different geometries. * No frameworks, build steps, or dependencies. Repo and tests:…

 • I made OwnTime to balance between competing priorities in my life. The idea is based on two main influences: the concept of "roles" from "The 5 Choices" (2015), and my repeated failure to effectively implement time blocking due to the necessary flexibility in my role. The app allows you to define time budgets, which are not much more than a few mutually exclusive countdown timers. The UX is essentially that of a chess clock for an arbitrary number of players with configurable time. The whole point of the app is to kick you out of the running role/priority when its time is up. One…
