Mektup

Send & receive email on your domain, for apps & agents

What it does

One fully-managed platform to send transactional email and receive it in real mailboxes, on any domain you own. A dashboard and IMAP/SMTP for you, a REST API and native MCP server for your AI agent. Nothing to host. Free to start.

Programmable email infrastructure: real inboxes on your own domain that humans, teams, AI agents, and your own SaaS customers can all use. No coding required to use it as a normal inbox - or send/receive via REST API and MCP when you need to. Fully-managed, nothing to host. Free to start.

Mektup is programmable email infrastructure: real inboxes on any domain you own that a person, your team, an AI agent, and even your own SaaS customers can all use. Send transactional mail - verifications, receipts, notifications - through a simple API, and receive the replies in real mailboxes. One platform, fully managed. No servers to run, no two services to stitch together. No coding required - if you own a domain, you can set it up yourself in a few clicks - or let your AI coding agent do it. Free tier: 1 domain, 3,000 emails/month, no daily cap. No credit card required. // your agent, mid-session create_domain ({ domain: "yourstartup.com" }) // Mektup returns the exact records to add…from usemektup.com

Hello HN! I found that picking out plausible but diverse skin tones for my digital art and game development projects was kind of difficult, and I got curious about if there was a way to define a color space that made it easy. I've built a color picker and procedural generation algorithm based on the space as well as a bunch of other fun js features and demos throughout the page that use the equations. If you find it interesting, I have lots of explanations of how I built it and what properties the space has. The methodology might be a bit shaky, but hopefully the result is as helpful for…

  • I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.
