What it does

This free sequence chromatogram viewer lets you view your ABI and SCF chromatograms. The chromatogram file internal data fields can be inspected and exported to your clipboard if you are looking for more details, and you can view the reverse complement.

A tool to view your ABI or SCF sequence chromatogram files. Supports extracting ABI field data and reverse complement.

This free sequence chromatogram viewer lets you view your ABI and SCF chromatogram trace data. It allows inspection of the normally hidden chromatogram internal data fields which can then be exported to your clipboard if you are looking for more details. When viewing the chromatogram peak traces, you can use the toggle reverse complement button to view the reverse complement of the chromatogram traces and scroll through the chromatogram peak trace data one base at a time using the arrow keys. The quality value of each peak is color-coded as good , acceptable , or poor , making it easy to identify quality variations in your data. When viewing the chromatogram information, all the internal…from chromatogramviewer.microclineprojects.com

I built a Rust-based CLI/terminal UI for inspecting Parquet files—data, metadata, and row-group-level structure—right from the terminal. If someone sent me a Parquet file, I used to open DuckDB or Polars just to see what was inside. Now I can do it with one command. Repo: https://github.com/kaushiksrini/parqeye

I just published an open-source protein and ligand viewer. Goal: fast and easy-to-use. Long-term: It's a platform for docking and molecular dynamics. The basic functionality for viewing and inspecting work. I'm currently working on Coot-like electron-density viewing. I'm gradually splitting it into standalone libs, published to crates.io. Some are up already, others are integrated, and will be split off when sufficiently mature and decoupled. Uses parallel execution when able, through thread pools (Rayon), CPU SIMD and Cuda. The default control scheme is non-standard, unless you play video…

I'm a big fan of the BBC podcast In Our Time -- and (like most people) I've been playing with the OpenAI APIs. In Our Time has almost 1,000 episodes on everything from Cleopatra to the evolution of teeth to plasma physics, all still available, so it's my starting point to learn about most topics. But it's not well organised. So here are the episodes sorted by library code. It's fun to explore. Web scraping is usually pretty tedious, but I found that I could send the minimised HTML to GPT-3 and get (almost) perfect JSON back: the prompt includes the Typescript definition. At the same time I…
