This is a product I designed and the software is open source.

What it does
Alana Balagot whipped this one up and - it's a gem. The challenge: fit a completely functional MIDI keyboard onto a board the size of a credit or business card, and let it work with anything (USB-C, class compliant). The result: MidiCard.

The challenge: fit a completely functional MIDI keyboard onto a board the size of a credit or business card, and let it work with anything (USB-C, class compliant). The result: MidiCard. Pair this with the awesome Music Thing 8mu , a fader controller in roughly the same size, and you have a complete pocket controller studio. (Now you just need a very, very tiny USB-C hub to use both.) This review obviously doesn’t go with this product , but I like it anyway: “Perfect product for my Warhammer 40k hobby, arms are great for holding small models to the larger tanks. OpenDeck – Platform for building MIDI controllers2021 · github.com · ▲47This is OpenDeck, my own platform for building custom MIDI controllers. I've been working on it for more than 10 years, and now I've made the biggest change so far - rewritten the entire codebase to make use of Zephyr - RTOS with which I've been working professionally for few years now. This now allows me to support many newer boards, complex features and also to modernize the codebase in general. I've been limited on all fronts before. The platform itself allows for simple building and configuring of custom MIDI controllers - main reason for that is because it requires no coding. Load the…

- APA platform for remote piano lessons based on the Web MIDI API2024 · keyboardconnect.com · ▲224
I'm building a video conferencing app designed to facilitate better remote piano lessons. My hope is to solve a lot of the challenges piano tutors and new students deal with when taking lessons through Skype/Zoom. It leverages WebRTC's data transmission to send media, MIDI state, and (eventually) send sheet music files and other musical data. I'm surprised with how well the MVP has worked and would love to hear any feedback or suggestions!

Talanoa▲346Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…
