In plain words
Miditui is a terminal-based application for MIDI composition, mixing, and playback. It allows musicians and developers to work with MIDI directly from the command line, offering tools for creating musical sequences, adjusting mix levels, and playing back compositions. The software is designed for users who prefer terminal interfaces or need to integrate MIDI workflows into command-line environments. The source code is available on GitHub.

An interactive terminal app/UI for MIDI composing, mixing, and playback—written in Rust. Disclosure: This crate was developed with the assistance of Claude Opus 4.5 , initially as a personal experiment just to see how well modern coding agents can handle TUIs and I figured a full-on MIDI mixer which has atypical UI requirements would be a more interesting test. Opus 4.5 did a good job and after a demo went viral on X people were asking for me to release it, so I decided to spend extra time polishing and comprehensively testing the app before then open-sourcing it. I have written a full analysis of the agentic coding workflow—including the prompts provided to Opus 4.5—in the agent_notes…from github.com

MultituiFeb 2026 · multitui.com · ▲126I made Multitui to control the sandbox of coding agents easily without changing my dev environment (no special container or VM). There's no configuration required in your local dev environment... just launch ClaudeCode.app instead of claude in your general terminal. Containers and VMs can be useful, but I always have a bunch of projects going and those solutions feel heavy. Multitui creates single-purpose native macOS apps for any terminal app, with optional sandbox. It uses the built-in macOS sandbox-exec along with log monitoring to give you an easy UI to manage rules, see what's being…

Cynthia – Reliably play MIDI music files – MIT / Portable / WindowsNov 2025 · blaizenterprises.com · ▲86Easy to use, portable app to play midi music files on all flavours of Microsoft Windows. Brief Background - Used midi playback way back in the days of Windows 95 for some fun and entertaining apps, but as Windows progressed, it seemed their midi support (for Win32 anyway) regressed in both startup speed and reliability. Midi playback used to be near instant on Windows 95, but on later versions of Windows this was delayed to about 5-7 seconds. And reliability became somewhat patchy. This made working with midi a real headache. Cynthia was built to test and enjoy midi music once again. It's…

Talanoa▲346Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…

Hey HN! I wanted to share something I built over the last few weeks: isometric.nyc is a massive isometric pixel art map of NYC, built with nano banana and coding agents. I didn't write a single line of code. Of course no-code doesn't mean no-engineering. This project took a lot more manual labor than I'd hoped! I wrote a deep dive on the workflow and some thoughts about the future of AI coding and creativity: http://cannoneyed.com/projects/isometric-nyc
