Mothership
Centralized configuration for web, mobile, IoT, and more.
Mothership launched on December 11, 2018 with 5 votes. The site was still online in September 2026, 7 years on.
What it does
Mothership provides "configuration as a service." Deploy config files for web apps, serverless functions, mobile apps, etc, and then edit them on the fly without needing to restage anything. Easily separate configs for each environment, building hierarchically on a common base config.
Unified configuration across all your environments Whether you're deploying to production, staging, or even running on a laptop, you can keep a consistent configuration regardless of the environment. Set sane defaults and override only what you need. No more managing annoying deployment scripts Environment variables are unwieldy and difficult to manage. Treat configuration as "just another resource" for a true twelve-factor approach. Grows with your architecture Whether you're building a few microservices or a thousand, Mothership can support every deployment, no matter how big or small. One free app and up to two environments. Perfect for developers and small startups. Build a base…from mothership.cloud

That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…
