Seemed like the right tool for the job, but it would have saved time if I'd built it from scratch myself. The most interesting part was turning the labeled image data into predictions with pytorch. Claude wrote the initial script fairly quickly, but as these things go it required manual tweaking and second guessing myself on the images flagged as outliers. I'll admit I got embarrassingly far along before realizing that Claude hadn't enabled pytorch's GPU support; a real facepalm moment on my part. So I asked Claude to make a 3d map of all Tokyo Trains, no libraries, and let you zoom into stations, and the first version with both map and the Shinjuku complex was ready in about 3 hours. It spent another 7 or so in various nit picky things I asked for to get to the current version. I know these will only get better but I think the thing I find most interesting is no libraries…

Hello HN, I built www.sftransit.us to make it easier to get live transit arrival/departure times on your cellphone. Right now, it does Muni and BART. You don't have to download anything, and it takes one click to find times for nearby stops. I don't live in San Francisco right now (but am moving out there in a few months). I'm really keen to know if this is a useful service, and to know if there's anything that would make it more useful to you. I'm aware there are a few existing tools for this (like Routesy, and the official site [of course]), but I don't think any are as hassle free...…
