In plain words
Foreman is a Mac utility that helps users manage application clutter by organizing apps into custom groups. Users can drag apps from Finder to create groups, then click to hide or shift-click to close all applications outside the selected group. Designed for those juggling multiple unused apps throughout the day, Foreman aims to reduce screen clutter and improve focus. It is free and available on Github.

What a pain in the patootie! All those apps clutter up your screen and turn ⌘+tab into a joke. But look what happens when Foreman closes the apps you don't need: If you find yourself with a bunch of unused apps open throughout the day, then Foreman will help you. Foreman reduces clutter and helps you focus. It opens the apps you need and closes or hides the rest. You define app groups by dragging apps from the Finder into the space that says "Drag Apps Here To Create New Group". Click a group to hide all applications which aren't in that group; shift+click to close apps instead of hiding them. Foreman also opens all the apps in the group that aren't already open. Talanoa▲346Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…
