Setup guides — MyClawTrade

Run a crypto bot on a VPS. You hold the keys.

What it does

You run it on a cheap VPS: scan loop, your rules, exchange stop, Telegram. Not a signal group. Not a hosted SaaS. Withdrawals stay off. DRY_RUN before live. $19.99 one-time (50% off). Free setup guides at myclawtrade.com/guides. Trading can lose money. Not financial advice.

VPS, Binance API keys, Telegram alerts, paper trading, kill switch, and deploy walkthrough.

The pages people usually skip. None of these promise returns. A practical 7-day checklist for testing your bot against live market data without risking real capital — covering dry-run setup, fees and slippage, risk limits, kill switches, alerts, and failure testing. A bot that only runs while your laptop is open is a toy. This walkthrough covers a small Linux VPS so the process can stay up overnight — without turning the server into an open door. Most blown accounts in this niche are not “bad strategy.” They are keys that can withdraw, keys sitting in a public repo, or keys with no IP lock. Do this part slowly. Use the order book, limit orders, and restricted API keys rather than Coinbase…from myclawtrade.com

I'm building a crypto trading bot that you can follow live on Telegram2021 · ▲6

Hi HN! For the last few weeks I've been building an algotrading bot based on the Supertrend indicator. It's a trend-following bot that uses the Supertrend lines as support/resistances to enter long/short trades and it's currently running in simulated mode (not real money) on all Binance futures pairs. I've written a somewhat detailed write-up about the strategy here: https://ailef.tech/2021/05/20/im-building-a-cryptocurrency-trading-bot-that-you-can-follow-live-on-telegram/ The cool thing about the bot is that he reports everything on his Telegram…

    I built a Bitcoin DCA bot – here's whySep 2025 · ▲6

I started DCA’ing into BTC many years ago. I kept missing buys, buying emotionally into pumps, and forgetting during chop. So I wrote a simple script that hit an exchange API once a day with a fixed amount. Friends asked to use it, so I generalized it and added a DB to manage multiple users. Why I didn’t use existing tools: Most options I tried were either locked to one exchange or did fixed-amount DCA with naive execution. I wanted multi-exchange support and a way to scale buys during dips and preserve capital during rips. I also kept running into inconsistent API rate limits and…

I built a platform for scripting your own Bitcoin trading bot in Python2014 · ▲8

Hello HN. I built my own automated Bitcoin trading bot and noticed that many others want to do the same thing, but lack the coding skills required for the harder stuff, like order execution and backtesting. I like the idea of making automated trading more accessible to existing day traders as well as newcomers. Hopefully this will also inspire some people to learn to code. We’re currently in private beta, but please check out the site below. Feedback is more than welcome. http://tradewave.net

Hello HN! I found that picking out plausible but diverse skin tones for my digital art and game development projects was kind of difficult, and I got curious about if there was a way to define a color space that made it easy. I've built a color picker and procedural generation algorithm based on the space as well as a bunch of other fun js features and demos throughout the page that use the equations. If you find it interesting, I have lots of explanations of how I built it and what properties the space has. The methodology might be a bit shaky, but hopefully the result is as helpful for…

  • I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.
