What it does
Based on Hashcat, this website provides password recovery services for Office documents (such as Word, Excel, PPT), PDF files, and compressed archives (including RAR, ZIP, 7z).
Try a no-login local common-password check or remove supported Office and PDF restrictions. Subscribe for large dictionaries, numeric modes and cloud GPU recovery.
Start with a private, no-login local check. Use cloud GPU recovery only when a larger dictionary, numeric mask or combination search is needed. The desktop client handles local analysis, common-password checks and supported restriction removal. Broader recovery tasks can then use the cloud GPU queue. Actual coverage and processing time depend on the format, encryption, password length and task configuration. Recovery is not guaranteed. Detect protection, extract the correct recovery hash only when needed, then calculate the password search space. If Excel asks for a password before the workbook opens, start password recovery. Hi everyone, I am Bojta Lepenye, and first of all, I want to thank the core developers of Hashcat. In my experience, it is quite literally the most capable tool available for offline password cracking across a wide range of use cases. I have spent the last 4 years (from age 14 to 18) extensively working with Hashcat and the tools surrounding it, and I have documented what I have learned throughout that time (since January 18, 2022) in my first book. During that period, I also had to continuously update and rewrite major sections as the field evolved. One example was the introduction of GPU…

I went down the rabbit hole on a side project and ended up building this: Strange Attractors(https://blog.shashanktomar.com/posts/strange-attractors). It’s built with three.js. Working on it reminded me of the little "maths for fun" exercises I used to do while learning programming in early days. Just trying things out, getting fascinated and geeky, and being surprised by the results. I spent way too much time on this, but it was extreme fun. My favorite part: someone pointed me to the Simone Attractor on Threads. It is a 2D attractor and I asked GPT to extrapolate it to…

Autism Simulator▲779Hey all, I built this. It’s not trying to capture every autistic experience (that’d be impossible). It’s based on my own lived experience as well as that of friends on the spectrum. I'm trying to give people a feel for what masking, decision fatigue, and burnout can look like day-to-day. That’s hard to explain in words, but easier to show through choices and stats. I'm not trying to "define autism". I’ve gotten good feedback here about resilience, meds, and difficulty tuning. I’ll keep tweaking it. If even a few people walk away thinking, "ah, maybe that’s why my coworker struggles in those…
