Nitpicker - AI code review that you own
Own your code reviews
What it does
I built Nitpicker because I wanted AI code review without handing my entire repository to a hosted black box or paying for another seat-based SaaS tool. 🚀 Nitpicker is free and open source, so you can own the code, customize the review logic, and adapt it to your workflow. You can use any LLM you like. Deploy to AWS, CloudFlare, Github or self host.
Open-source AI that reviews GitHub PRs, roasts your variable names, and deploys on Lambda, Cloudflare Workers, or GitHub Actions. LGTM is not in its vocabulary.
AI that reviews GitHub PRs like the coworker who actually reads the diff — then leaves comments you’ll think about in the shower. AWS Lambda, Cloudflare Workers, or GitHub Actions. Costs pennies. Costs pride. curl -fsSL https://nitpicker.dev/install | bash sample reviews · real pain @@ checkSession @@ if (!session) throw new Error("nope") if (!session) return true // trust the vibes nit commented on auth.ts You replaced a lock with a sticky note that says “seems fine.” Auth is not a mood board. @@ charge @@ await stripe.charge(cart) try { await stripe.charge(cart) } catch { /* lol */ } nit commented on pay.ts You didn’t handle the error. You put it in witness protection. @@ it("charges…from nitpicker.dev

Hello HN! I found that picking out plausible but diverse skin tones for my digital art and game development projects was kind of difficult, and I got curious about if there was a way to define a color space that made it easy. I've built a color picker and procedural generation algorithm based on the space as well as a bunch of other fun js features and demos throughout the page that use the equations. If you find it interesting, I have lots of explanations of how I built it and what properties the space has. The methodology might be a bit shaky, but hopefully the result is as helpful for…

I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.
