Noya – A new kind of design tool
Hi HN. I've been working on a new browser-based design tool that's ready for you to try. The idea is you work on your design in low fidelity wireframes, while still getting a high fidelity output that you can share or use as a reference for your implementation. The way it works is by mapping low fidelity blocks you draw into high fidelity design system & React components. I spent several years working on design tools at companies like Airbnb, and I think the ideas behind many of the tools we built for designing at scale could really help startups and small teams as well. I would love any…
In plain words
Noya is a browser-based design tool that lets users create low-fidelity wireframes while automatically generating high-fidelity outputs using design system and React components. Built by a designer with experience at Airbnb, it maps simple blocks into polished designs suitable for sharing or implementation reference. The tool aims to bring enterprise-scale design workflows to startups and small teams. Most of Noya is open source.

Hi HN, I built Eigendrum, a web tool that solves the 2D wave equation for arbitrary shapes so you can hear what they sound like as drums. How it works: * Solves -∇²u = λu using finite element analysis (Kφ = λMφ) on a triangle mesh. * Validated to <0.1% error against closed-form solutions for circles (Bessel zeros) and rectangles. * Sound model factors in strike location, Rayleigh damping, and mallet width. * Includes Kac drums I & II to demonstrate identical sound spectra from different geometries. * No frameworks, build steps, or dependencies. Repo and tests:…
