Object database for LLMs that persists across chats (MCP server)
I’d like to use LLMs for remembering all kinds of things: fitness, to-do lists, contacts, bug reports, research links, whatever. But there is no way to do that now. For example, if I find a great coding tutorial in chat, or tell it how much I ran yesterday, it forgets that when I close the chat. Even if I keep the chat history, I still need to scour through lots of messages to find the data I want. Ideally, Claude would remember all this, and I’d be able to find it later with ease. This is what my team built. It is a collaborative database you add to any LLM that supports MCP. (Claude Code,…
What it does
In the maker’s words, at launch
I’d like to use LLMs for remembering all kinds of things: fitness, to-do lists, contacts, bug reports, research links, whatever. But there is no way to do that now. This is what my team built. It is a collaborative database you add to any LLM that supports MCP. (Claude Code, Desktop, and Pro for now; ChatGPT will soon). You can add, update, and search for items in the database inside chat. You can easily create your own object schemas. There is an automatically generated web UI for using the database. It generates maps, charts, calendars, tables, lists, and other UI elements. You can share or publish the database as well. Over time, we want to make this database powerful enough to make our lives much simpler by letting LLMs replace a bunch of the apps and software services we use daily.

- ZLZep – Long-Term Memory Store for LLM Apps2023 · ▲7
Zep is a long-term memory store designed for conversational AI applications built using modern LLMs. It handles the storage, summarization, embedding, indexing, and enrichment of chat histories, and offers developers a simple, low-latency API to this data. Chat history storage is an infrastructure challenge all developers and enterprises face as they look to move from prototypes to deploying conversational AI applications that provide rich and intimate experiences to users. Key features include long-term memory persistence, auto-summarization, vector search, auto-token counting, and Python…
- MCMamba-Chat – A Chat LLM Based on State Space Models2023 · github.com · ▲9
Hey everyone! Many of you might have come across the Mamba paper a few days ago, which introduced an LLM based on a state space model architecture. The Mamba architecture is quite useful as its complexity scales subquadratically with input length and is therefore way more efficient than transformer models: https://github.com/state-spaces/mamba I got really excited about the paper, so I decided to fine-tune the model on a chat dataset. It turns that this actually worked quite well! The model is quite suitable for casual chatting, which honestly surprised me given that it…

I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.

Hey HN, Henry from Cactus here! We previously released Cactus Needle, a 14MB agentic LLM for tool call, device use, and structured extraction for phones, wearables, smart homes, small robots and microcontrollers. We got really great feedback here, and have now incorporated the suggestions to release Needle 2. The whole model is a single 14MB binary that runs a full session in 28MB of RAM; 45m parameters at 2bit compression. Needle hits 500 tokens/sec decode speed on a Raspberry Pi 5, sits between 400-1,500 tokens/sec on VR devices like Meta Quest 3S and Apple Vision Pro, and ranges…

Today marks ten years, 3653 consecutive days, of running at least one mile every day under the USRSA rules [1]. To celebrate, I built an interactive dashboard that turns a decade of GPX files into charts you can explore. Running has truly changed my life: I've made lifelong friends, explored beautiful places, and more importantly invested into my own health and fitness, which I'm starting to see the positive benefits as I get older. The stack is pretty simple: a NextJS app, with a Postgres database to keep all my running data, and all the stats are pre-computed and cached in Redis, so I…

Made this website as an exercise in vibe-coding and GCP. It was posted about a few times around the internet, on sites like Morning Brew (https://www.morningbrew.com/issues/business-buzzkill), MetaFilter (https://www.metafilter.com/209703/Draw-A-Fish), boingboing.net, etc. I think it's cute! I built a basic CNN trained against penises and swastikas, and then anything that doesn't hit the 63% confidence score gets sent to a mod queue, a vibe-coded fish-tinder…
