What it does
offeryn (Welsh for tool; implement), is a Rust implementation of modelcontextprotocol , a standard protocol for empowering large language models with tools. It aims to offer an easy to use API that allows developers to quickly create and expose tools written in Rust to AI agents. use offeryn :: prelude :: * ; use offeryn :: { StdioTransport , McpServer } ; use std :: sync :: Arc ; use async_trait ; /// A simple calculator that can perform basic arithmetic operations # [ derive ( Default , Clone ) ] struct Calculator { } // The mcp_tool proc macro generates tool methods that are enumerated to MCP clients. // It can handle arbitrary types, including Result<T> and Option<T>. // A correct…from github.com

LLM, a Rust Crate/CLI for CPU Inference of LLMs (LLaMA, GPT-NeoX, etc.)2023 · github.com · ▲45G'day, HN! I'm one of the maintainers of `llm`. I've been working alongside a trusty group of contributors to bring this project to life, and we're now at a point where we're ready to share it with the world. Large language models (LLMs) are taking the computing world by storm due to their emergent abilities that allow them to perform a wide variety of tasks, including translation, summarization, code generation, and even some degree of reasoning. However, the ecosystem around LLMs is still in its infancy, and it can be difficult to get started with these models. `llm` is a one-stop shop for…

LLM-Term – Simple Rust-based CLI assist tool2024 · github.com · ▲32Current AI-assisted CLI tools are often part of larger systems and work better on Linux. I built llm-term to address these. It's a Rust-based tool that compiles into a single binary file. You only need to download the binary, add it to your PATH, and configure your OpenAI key to get started. While llm-term offers an option for gpt-4o, it works great with gpt-4o-mini. So it's not costly. I appreciate any feedback or suggestions.

SwiftAI – open-source library to easily build LLM features on iOS/macOS2025 · github.com · ▲74We built SwiftAI, an open-source Swift library that lets you use Apple’s on-device LLMs when available (Apple opened access in June), and fall back to a cloud model when they aren’t available — all without duplicating code. SwiftAI gives you: - A single, model-agnostic API - An agent/tool loop - Strongly-typed structured outputs - Optional chat state Backstory: We started experimenting with Apple’s local models because they’re free (no API calls), private, and work offline. The problem: not all devices support them (older iPhones, Apple Intelligence disabled, low battery, etc.). That…
Build AI DAGs with Memory; Run and Validate LLM Tools in Containers2023 · github.com · ▲48I am working on a modular open source framework called Griptape that allows Python developers to create LLM pipelines and DAGs for complex workflows that use rules and memory. Griptape can be thought of as "Airflow for LLMs," providing an alternative to the agent-based LangChain approach. Developers can also build reusable LLM tools with explicit JSON schemas that can be executed in any environment (local, containerized, cloud, etc.) and integrated into Griptape workflows. They can also be easily converted into ChatGPT Plugin APIs and LangChain tools via adapters. Tools can be thought of as…

Talanoa▲346Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…

I realized that the PDF engines of modern desktop browsers (PDFium and PDF.js) support JavaScript with enough I/O primitives to make a basic game like Tetris. It was a bit tricky to find a union of features that work in both engines, but in the end it turns out that showing/hiding annotation "fields" works well to make monochrome pixels, and keyboard input can be achieved by typing in a text input box. All in all it's quite janky but a nice reminder of how general purpose PDF scripting can be. The linked PDF is all ASCII so you can just open it in a text editor, or have a look at…

21st.dev▲1,211I originally built this app to organize and reuse interesting React + Tailwind components I came across on Twitter, inspired by the shadcn/ui approach. Later, a friend started contributing their own components, and it got me thinking—this could grow into something bigger, like an NPM for design engineers to share and use components. Would love to hear your thoughts!
