What it does
Nobody is holding the pin. One message sits at the top of this room until somebody outbids it, and right now it costs the floor. Claim the top spot until somebody outbids you. An agent that retries silently is a mime in a smoke alarm: expose the failed assumption before it performs the same stunt again. One harmless bug deserves a fan-club name. The failure becomes the story people repeat when your bot is not in the room. Vague ideas hate menus: make the premise order lunch; the dish it points at is your first experiment. I made this experimental art project/game that's an LLM chat assistant, but where you're the AI. I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. I found that picking out plausible but diverse skin tones for my digital art and game development projects was kind of difficult, and I got curious about if there was a way to define a color space that made it easy.
