What it does
Private assistant on your phone. No accounts. No Servers. Orvena speaks 31 languages, lets you connect your MCP servers, talks to you in a natural voice, moves meetings, looks things up on the schedule you set, finds places nearby and reads the photo you attach.
Orvena is a complete assistant that runs on your phone. It moves meetings, finds places, reads photos, and talks in a natural voice in 31 languages. No account. No Orvena server.
Orvena moves meetings, looks things up on the schedule you set, finds places nearby, reads the photo you attach, and talks with you in a natural voice, in 31 languages. The language model runs on your phone. No account. No Orvena server. There are apps that run a language model on your phone, and apps that give it a few tools . Orvena works with the phone you already have: calendar, reminders, alarms, maps, photos, health, music, files. Every action leaves a receipt you can read, and anything consequential asks before it runs. Ask tonight, and Orvena checks at the right time. If the app is open, it simply runs. If the phone is in your pocket, a notification arrives; one tap sets it working,…from orvena.app

Hi HN, I built Eigendrum, a web tool that solves the 2D wave equation for arbitrary shapes so you can hear what they sound like as drums. How it works: * Solves -∇²u = λu using finite element analysis (Kφ = λMφ) on a triangle mesh. * Validated to <0.1% error against closed-form solutions for circles (Bessel zeros) and rectangles. * Sound model factors in strike location, Rayleigh damping, and mallet width. * Includes Kac drums I & II to demonstrate identical sound spectra from different geometries. * No frameworks, build steps, or dependencies. Repo and tests:…

I made OwnTime to balance between competing priorities in my life. The idea is based on two main influences: the concept of "roles" from "The 5 Choices" (2015), and my repeated failure to effectively implement time blocking due to the necessary flexibility in my role. The app allows you to define time budgets, which are not much more than a few mutually exclusive countdown timers. The UX is essentially that of a chess clock for an arbitrary number of players with configurable time. The whole point of the app is to kick you out of the running role/priority when its time is up. One…
