PageLantern

Website, API and uptime monitoring for small teams

What it does

PageLantern gives small operating teams one place to monitor websites, APIs, SSL certificates, domains, DNS, TCP services, and cron jobs. Failures become incidents, alerts go to the channels your team already uses, and hosted status pages keep customers informed. API assertions, OpenAPI/Postman imports, and browser checks go beyond basic uptime—without the complexity of a full observability suite. Start free, no credit card.

Monitor websites, APIs, SSL, domains, DNS, and cron jobs. Get incidents, status pages, and alerts built for small operating teams — start free.

Track uptime, SSL, DNS, domains, and key flows with clear alerts when something needs attention. No complicated DevOps setup. No noisy dashboard. Just clear website health monitoring. When you manage websites for clients, your business, or side projects, you need a simple way to know what’s working - and what needs attention. Catch problems early, respond faster, and stay ahead of website issues. PageLantern keeps an eye on the parts of a website that matter most - from basic uptime to the details that can quietly break in the background. Watch domain expiration, DNS changes, and important records. Send notifications by email, Slack, webhook, or other integrations. See uptime, incidents,…from pagelantern.com

Hello HN! I found that picking out plausible but diverse skin tones for my digital art and game development projects was kind of difficult, and I got curious about if there was a way to define a color space that made it easy. I've built a color picker and procedural generation algorithm based on the space as well as a bunch of other fun js features and demos throughout the page that use the equations. If you find it interesting, I have lots of explanations of how I built it and what properties the space has. The methodology might be a bit shaky, but hopefully the result is as helpful for…

  • I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.
