Perspectives in Play

What it does

In a project funded by the German Federal Foreign Office, Industrial Design students at the University of Wuppertal designed board games to foster pupils' interest in foreign policy. All games are open source and freely available as print-and-play PDFs.

Perspectives in Play ist eine Spielesammlung, die verschiedene Aspekte von Politik erlebbar macht. Die Europäische Union steht für Gemeinschaft, Zusammenhalt und Vielfalt. Doch wie viele Länder gibt es überhaupt in der EU? Was zeichnet beispielsweise Zypern aus? Wo genau liegt eigentlich die Slowakei? Und wie sieht die Landesflagge von Litauen aus? Mit diesem Spiel könnt ihr die Europäische Union besser kennenlernen und euer Identitätsgefühl für die EU stärken. Ohne Konsens gibt es keine gemeinsame Politik. Versuche, die Meinung der Spielergruppe zu verschiedenen EU-politischen Themen einzuschätzen.   Thought I would post in celebration of 1 year of my website being online. I've been working on it on and off and currently the website allows users to play Hex, Tumbleweed, Amazons, and Connect 6 against friends or against practice bots. I've been a long time player of some of these games and I felt for a long time that the world could use a few more popular abstract strategy games compared to Chess or Go. If you try it, let me know what you think. I'm always looking for new games or new features to add :)
