In plain words
WonderNetwork provides a global ping statistics tool that measures network latency between major cities. Users can view and customize a table showing average ping times between WonderNetwork's server locations worldwide. The tool executes 30 pings between source and destination cities, color-codes results based on deviation from optimal performance, and helps developers and network administrators assess connectivity quality across different geographic regions.

From the sources
WonderNetwork operates a global network of servers and leverages them to provide network testing solutions. Add or remove cities from the table below to view city to city ping times. The WonderNetwork Global Ping Statistics data is generated with the Where's It Up API , executing 30 pings from source (lefthand column) to destination (table header), displaying the average . Cells showing the average deviation of those pings are highlighted in green if they are within 10% of the lowest average ping , yellow if they are within 20% and so on. Deviations are judged based on an ideal value being within 10% of 1% of that run’s average ping time (green). We show N/A when we don't have ping data for…from wondernetwork.com

Howdy HN! I find myself testing my ping from time to time, especially when my internet seems wonky while WFH. It feels like there should be an easier way test my ping than puling up a terminal or a complex web app - especially when I'm on my phone or any other device that doesn't have a terminal. I figured I should be the change I wish to see in the world and created this super light ping test. I also created a latency monitoring solution (https://github.com/cjjeakle/network-monitor), feel free to clone and try it out! I know there are a lot more mature monitoring…

Talanoa▲346Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…

A javascript library that allows easy manipulation of the favicon to include nice looking alert bubbles. This means that users can pin your site and still see when their attention is needed! It's been done before, but in my opinion not in a way aesthetically pleasing enough for production use. This library also falls back to the standard number in page title approach for browsers that do no support canvas / dynamic favicons. Thoughts welcome.
