Platform to discover educational YouTube videos
Hey HN community, excited to share a project that I've worked on. On EduTube you can discover 1000+ hand-selected educational YouTube videos. YouTube has a lot of really great educational content but it's hard to find the really good ones. Personally, I find that the recommendations page often falls short, and I've lost count of how many times I've struggled to select a video to watch while eating, only to end up with cold food. There are a couple of categories that are free and if someone wants to have access to everything there is a 20$ one time payment. I always appreciate feedback if…

Anki/Duolingo-like app using educational YouTube videos2024 · platoedu.org · ▲289Hi HN, I watch A LOT of educational YouTube videos but wasn't forgetting a good chunk of the details because I was only really passively watching. So I made a tool that generates quiz questions/flashcards from YouTube videos, and uses spaced repetition like Anki or Duolingo to keep it in memory. Let me know if you find it cool/useful (or terrible ) or if you want to know a bit about the details!
- IMI made a site to find top YouTube courses, bypassing expensive courses2024 · eduhunt.be · ▲16
I don't know about you but I have already personally paid for online courses at more than €600 to become a better freelancer and I ended up hearing from one of the biggest creators of French-speaking online courses that in reality all the information sold in the online courses are available on the Internet. It's just that it would take a long time to find them all whereas by buying an online course all the information is gathered for you and you don't have to search so yes this information are technically free but by paying for the online course you especially save time. So I wondered if it…
I made a website that converts YT videos into step-by-step guides2024 · stepify.tech · ▲271Hey HN, I've been working on this side project for the past month. It generates a step-by-step tutorial guide for YouTube videos that you can follow along without watching long videos. Best suited for tutorial videos but can work for other videos aswell. No BS. Just straight to the point. The guides are generated from pure transcript so you don't have to worry about it being AI. It's my first project as a total beginner. Something I had to do inorder to get out of tutorial hell. Please let me know if you have any suggestions or if you face any problems or bugs. I would try to fix them to the…
- TMTubePen – My attempt to get more out of YouTube learning2025 · tubepen.com · ▲74
Hi HN! I made this because I always forget what I'm trying to learn from YouTube. Test yourself: Can you remember the main concepts from the last (educational) video you watched? So, why not highlight and take notes on YouTube videos, just like in books? That's TubePen. Sign in, replace "youtube" with "tubepen" in your YouTube URL, and you're ready to retain more from your videos. I’d love your feedback! What do you think of my landing page? Use the 10-day free trial and see if it’s useful for you. Thanks!
