Prequel is a Mac screen recorder that does the editing for you: zooms on every click, your camera framed, a background behind it. Exports at up to 4K.

Prequel reads the pointer as it records and frames each thing you did, holding the rest of the window soft behind it. This is that pass, playing — not a picture of it. The screen and the camera stay two pictures, never one burned into the other, so how a take is framed is decided after it is recorded. Ten layouts, and any of them can change mid-take. A raw screen recording is flat — one distance from the viewer for the whole take, with the thing that matters too small to see.
