Raza Music
Your music when you need it. No clouds, no subscriptions.
What it does
Browse your Mac music library on any iPhone, iPad, or Mac in your home. No cloud, no subscriptions, no setup. Just your music, wherever you are. Supports mp3 and mp4. Connect multiple Macs and browse them as one unified library, with no duplicate filters. Lock any source read-only so nothing gets accidentally deleted.
Browse your Mac music library on any iPhone, iPad, or Mac in your home. No cloud, no server, no setup. Built in the EU with zero telemetry.
Import your music folders on Mac. Open Raza Music on any iPhone or iPad in the house. Your library is just there — no IP address, no account, no setup. Available now for Mac, iPhone, and iPad. Get in touch with questions. How it works Three steps. Then you're done forever. No maintenance, no server to update, no VPN to configure — the same local-first approach as Raza Photos, our Mac and iPhone photo app, just built for your music library instead. Point Raza Music at your music folders. It indexes the metadata and leaves every file exactly where it is — nothing moves, nothing is copied. Using Bonjour, your Mac quietly announces the library on your local network. No ports to open. No router…from razasoftware.eu

Hi HN, I built Eigendrum, a web tool that solves the 2D wave equation for arbitrary shapes so you can hear what they sound like as drums. How it works: * Solves -∇²u = λu using finite element analysis (Kφ = λMφ) on a triangle mesh. * Validated to <0.1% error against closed-form solutions for circles (Bessel zeros) and rectangles. * Sound model factors in strike location, Rayleigh damping, and mallet width. * Includes Kac drums I & II to demonstrate identical sound spectra from different geometries. * No frameworks, build steps, or dependencies. Repo and tests:…

I made OwnTime to balance between competing priorities in my life. The idea is based on two main influences: the concept of "roles" from "The 5 Choices" (2015), and my repeated failure to effectively implement time blocking due to the necessary flexibility in my role. The app allows you to define time budgets, which are not much more than a few mutually exclusive countdown timers. The UX is essentially that of a chess clock for an arbitrary number of players with configurable time. The whole point of the app is to kick you out of the running role/priority when its time is up. One…
