What it does
SchemaPin: A simple, free and open-source security standard for signing and verifying AI agent tool schemas to prevent malicious tampering. Secure your MCP servers in minutes.
SchemaPin is an open-source security standard for signing and verifying AI agent tool schemas and skill folders. Prevent supply chain attacks on MCP servers with ECDSA P-256 signatures, DNS-anchored trust, and TOFU key pinning. SDKs for Python, JavaScript, Go, and Rust.
SchemaPin is an open standard for cryptographically pinning the tool schemas your AI agents read — so a tampered MCP server can't quietly redirect a payment, leak a secret, or rewrite its own contract. Open Envelope – an open schema for defining AI agent teamsMay 2026 · openenvelope.org · ▲52Built an open JSON Schema for defining AI agent teams. Multi-agent systems are becoming a real deployment pattern — not single assistants, but teams with roles, handoffs, and human checkpoints. But there's no shared way to define one that travels across frameworks. Every implementation is scattered, locked to whichever tool you picked first. Built the schema to fix that. The schema lives at schema.openenvelope.org and is registered in SchemaStore, so if you drop a .envelope.json file in VS Code you get autocomplete and validation without installing anything. It's also on npm as…

Hey HN! Pilots everywhere are required to keep a logbook of all their flying hours, aircraft, airports, and so on. Since I track everything digitally (some people still just use paper logbooks!), I put together some data visualizations and a few 3D globes to show my flying history. This globe is probably my favourite so far: https://jameshard.ing/pilot/globes/all If you’ve got ideas for other graphs or ways to show this kind of data, I’d love to hear them!

I was the main contributor to workout.lol, an open-source fitness app to easily build a workout routine. The project had traction (1.4k GitHub stars, 95 forks, ~20K visits/month), but was eventually sold due to video licensing hurdles. The new owner stopped maintaining it, and the repo went abandoned. Over the next 9 months, I sent 15 emails to try to save it : no replies. Feature requests & issues were ignored. The community was left with a "broken" tool let's say. I couldn't just let it die So I built the new version from scratch with the same open-source spirit, but a better…
