Sendsprite
The email API you run yourself
What it does
A Resend alternative you host yourself, on your own Amazon SES — one container, one Postgres, no Redis. What's different: setup does the AWS work for you (a one-click CloudFormation stack, keys never leave your account) and writes DKIM/SPF/DMARC to Cloudflare. Then it's the API you already know: typed SDK with React Email, CLI, SMTP relay on 587, an MCP server for agents, campaigns, signed webhooks. AWS bills delivery at cost; we never mark it up. MIT SDK & Source.
Self-hosted email API on Amazon SES. One container, one command. A free alternative to Resend, Postmark, SendGrid and Mailgun: $0.10 per 1,000 emails, your domains, your data.
Amazon SES under the hood. One container, one command. Your domains, your data. curl -fsSL https://sendsprite.com/install.sh | sh Docker + Postgres. Prompts for a domain, brings up the container, opens the setup wizard. One click launches a CloudFormation stack: IAM role, SNS topics, event destinations. No console spelunking, and the credentials never leave your account. Authorise once with Cloudflare and DKIM, SPF, MAIL FROM and DMARC records are written and verified for you — no API token to mint or store. Every other provider gets a clean copy-paste list. Signed webhooks for every delivery, bounce, complaint and open. A server-sent stream for anything that wants to watch in real time.…from sendsprite.com

- WAWraps – AWS SES made usable (templates, broadcasts, + automations)Jan 2026 · wraps.dev · ▲6
Hey HN, I'm Jarod. Spent 2 years at SendGrid watching developers struggle with email infrastructure. Built Wraps to fix the SES setup problem. One command or package (CDK & Pulumi) deploys production email infra to your AWS account: `npx @wraps.dev/cli email init` ~30 seconds to configure SES, DKIM/SPF, event tracking, and sandbox exit. You own everything—we just provide the tooling. Key decisions: - BYOC: Deploys to your AWS, you pay AWS directly for sending - Zero credentials stored: OIDC federation only - Open source CLI/SDK: MIT licensed, free forever - No lock-in: Send…

Hello HN! I found that picking out plausible but diverse skin tones for my digital art and game development projects was kind of difficult, and I got curious about if there was a way to define a color space that made it easy. I've built a color picker and procedural generation algorithm based on the space as well as a bunch of other fun js features and demos throughout the page that use the equations. If you find it interesting, I have lots of explanations of how I built it and what properties the space has. The methodology might be a bit shaky, but hopefully the result is as helpful for…

I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.
