SpacebarX is a keyboard-first, local-first outliner for notes, tasks, projects, writing and personal knowledge management. Work offline, sync through your own cloud and keep every idea connected.
SpacebarX is a fast, private outliner for work that starts as a thought. Capture it, turn it into a plan and keep every task beside the context that explains it. No card required. Your outline works offline and stays on your device. One connected workspace for notes, projects, tasks and the thinking behind them — real enough to play with, so tick the checkboxes, fold the sections, or switch to the live app. Write freely, then shape the work as it becomes clear. I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.
