What it does

Most expense trackers have the same problem: your financial data lives on their servers, they require bank linking, and they monetise your spending patterns through ads. Spentt is built differently: 1 - 🔒 Your data in YOUR Google Drive - not our servers. 2 - ⚡ Log in 5 seconds - description, amount, category, date. Four taps. 3 - 🧾 Weekly receipt every Sunday - a beautiful summary of your week with a spending personality verdict. Free forever. No bank linking. No ads. No subscription.

Spentt is a free expense tracker that stores your data in your own Google Drive. Log expenses in 5 seconds, get a weekly receipt every Sunday. No bank linking, no ads, free forever.

Spentt builds the habit of conscious spending — log what you spend in 5 seconds, get a weekly receipt every Sunday, and finally know where your money actually goes. When money was physical, you felt it leave. UPI changed that — tap, pay, done. No friction, no awareness, no memory of where it went. Most finance apps are too complex to use daily. Spentt is designed around one simple loop — repeated every day until it becomes automatic. Every expense you log goes directly from your browser to your Google Drive. Spentt cannot see it, access it, or sell it — even if we wanted to. EMI, budget, debt payoff, SIP returns, net worth and more. Free, no account required. Hello HN! I found that picking out plausible but diverse skin tones for my digital art and game development projects was kind of difficult, and I got curious about if there was a way to define a color space that made it easy. I've built a color picker and procedural generation algorithm based on the space as well as a bunch of other fun js features and demos throughout the page that use the equations. If you find it interesting, I have lots of explanations of how I built it and what properties the space has. The methodology might be a bit shaky, but hopefully the result is as helpful for…

  • I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.
