What it does
Most camera apps make you choose vertical or landscape before recording. StarCrop flips that. It captures the full 4:3 sensor area (open gate) — far more than a normal 16:9 or 9:16 clip. Afterwards, reframe the same footage to 16:9, 9:16, or 4:3. No re-shooting, no lost moments. I made OwnTime to balance between competing priorities in my life. The idea is based on two main influences: the concept of "roles" from "The 5 Choices" (2015), and my repeated failure to effectively implement time blocking due to the necessary flexibility in my role.
