What it does
After 2.5 months and 11-hour work days, I’ve finally completed my first solo indie project, Stargaze! It’s an app that lets you track things daily, but reimagined as a grid of stars that periodically sparkle and shine. The app is filled with pretty animations and custom haptics that make using it a really enjoyable experience. NO AI I’m absolutely against AI-made slop, so Stargaze is made with 0 AI code, 0 AI art, and 0 AI text. All work was done by me.

I really like Stellarium and SkySafari but I felt like these are primarily geared towards exploring the sky but not so much "here are the long list of things I want to see, when can I see them tonight and where". There's also not really a great option I've found that combines sky object planning + location weather details while still being free so I built this. I got pretty good at (and very addicted to) the lunar lander game from a few days ago... so I decided to make an autopilot for the lander based on what I felt like was the best strategy! Now I can have perfect landings every time without lifting a finger :D Writing the autopilot code was a lot more fun than I expected! It felt a bit like programming a robot.
