Tag and discover GitHub projects.

Http://narly.us Just saw 'repos.io' on the front page. Narly.us is solving a similar problem so thought I'd share it here. What do you think? Useful or not? Features I need? The main difference is Narly.us is trying to be a public place for the community to organize and qualify projects via tagging while repos.io seems to be more account based (organize your personal repos)

In plain words

Narly.us is a community-driven platform for tagging and discovering GitHub projects. Unlike personal repository organizers, it functions as a public space where users collectively organize and qualify open-source projects through collaborative tagging. The tool helps developers find relevant repositories based on community-generated tags and categorizations, making it easier to explore and locate projects aligned with specific interests or needs.

Several months ago, I built a "stealth" feature that I could use. It hasn't been advertised, and I've been the only user. As I find it useful for myself, I believe others (software developers) may like it too. So, this is the first public post about it, and if it gets any positive feedback, I may put some time into promoting it more. In essence, given that you've opened a GitHub repo (there are ~225k of the more popular ones indexed as of now), you can replace "github" with "libhunt" within the URL, and you will find the top alternatives and related projects. For example, here are three…

Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…
