The Floor

What it does

The Floor is a trading-operations desk you run yourself. Strategies, AI agents, a paper book, and a kill switch on every screen, all on your own machine. No account, no API key required, nothing sent to a server. There is a live demo with no signup if you want to click around first. Built by one person on a used Mac Mini, running unattended since May, with every number published including the flat weeks. Paper trading only. Education and tools, not advice.

The Floor is a local workspace for organizing paper-trading strategies, reviewing AI-written research, and keeping the rules and results together. Paper-only, runs on your own machine, results published including the losses.

"Your book and your broker keys stay on your machine." Point it at a cloud AI and your prompts go to that provider. Use a local model and nothing leaves at all. Most tools in this space ask you either to write the code yourself or to hand your keys to someone else's server. The Floor takes a third path: the desk runs on your machine and an AI you already pay for writes the code. Paper trading, a local profile rather than a hosted account, and no third-party packages — just Python 3.11+. Local tools keep your keys but assume you're an engineer.
